BANDUNG - The construction of the Nusantara Capital Airport (IKN) has officially begun, President Joko Widodo accompanied by the Minister of Advanced Indonesia Cabinet has carried out the groundbreaking for the construction of the VVIP IKN Nusantara Airport in Penajam District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan, Wednesday (1/11/2023).

On the same occasion, NSE was invited directly by the Minister of PUPR and the Minister of Transportation to witness the Groundbreaking activities for the construction of the VVIP IKN Airport.

In his remarks, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Jokowi, said that the presence of this airport is very important to anticipate the increasing density of activities in IKN, and the increasing mobility of people and goods to and from IKN.

"IKN Airport has an area of 347 Ha with a runway of 3000 x 45 meters and can serve wide body aircraft, this is important!" (said Indonesian President Jokowi).
